Lică Movilă (born 21 October 1961) is a retired Romanian footballer, who played primarily as a midfielder.

Career

Movilă was born in Brăila and made his debut in the Romanian football Liga I on 21 June 1981 for SC Bacău, in a 5-2 loss to FC Argeş. He spent four seasons with SC Bacău. Midway through the 1982/1983 season, he was transferred to Dinamo Bucureşti, where he enjoyed his most successful spell, including five consecutive seasons of European football, which culminated in an appearance in the 1983-84 European Cup semi-final against Liverpool when he captained Dinamo Bucureşti and sustained a broken jaw.[1][2] After Bucharest Movilă spent a season each with Flacăra Moreni and Universitatea Cluj. He finished his career with the Israeli side Hapoel, and retired in 1990.

National team

Movilă won 14 caps for the Romanian national side, scoring one goal, and he represented Romania at Euro 1984.
